Tinalak or t'nalak is a traditional textile of the T'boli cultural community in South Cotabato, Mindanao. It is made using abaca fibers and is known for its distinct colors and patterns inspired by folklore.
In addition to being a unique cultural treasure, the t'nalak is a testament to the skill and artistry of Filipino weavers.
This particular fabric, dyed and woven by the T'boli community in Lake Sebu, uses Panublix Cotton-Abaca yarn for the warp and Panublix Cotton yarn for the weft.
When we see our partners create traditional textiles using Philippine-made yarns, it inspires us even more to fulfill our mission of connecting weavers and designers with locally-produced materials!
