Salngan Livelihood Multi-Purpose Cooperative (SLMPC) was founded in 2003 to help provide livelihood to the women of Oton, Iloilo.
The cooperative was able to grow with technical assistance and enterprise support from government and private organizations. It currently has 33 members who are trained to continue the tradition of hablon weaving.
Aside from being one of the leading hablon producers in Iloilo, SLMPC’s weaving center is also a known tourist spot in the town of Oton. Their products include table runners, placemats, and t-shirts among others.
